& Olympic Peninsula Support Services

Kitsap Tenant Support Services, Inc. (KTSS) has been providing high-quality supported living, habilitative services, caregiving, training, supervision, and individualized support to people with developmental disabilities for over 50 years. As one of Washington State's founding supported living providers, we have proudly served individuals across Kitsap County since 1974.

Through our affiliated program, Olympic Peninsula Supported Living (OPSL), we also provide 24-hour supported living services to individuals throughout Clallam County. Kitsap Tenant Support Services provides a variety of care and support services in six key categories, including:

  • Health and Safety, including dealing with physical illness or mental health issues; proper nutrition; and self-protection.
  • Personal Power and Choice, including securing housing and personal belongings; learning rights and responsibilities; and improving communication skills.
  • Positive Recognition, including creating mechanisms to build self-esteem, feelings of self-worth, and positive perceptions of self and others.
  • Community Integration, including participating in general shopping, recreational, and social activities within the client’s community or neighborhood, as well as developing the tools to seek out new connections and access educational or vocational opportunities.
  • Relationship Skills including establishing, maintaining, expanding, and improving connections with others, whether inside family, social circles, workplaces, or the general community.
  • Self-Reliance, including building skills and developing tools for day-to-day self-care, managing finances, and maintaining a safe and healthy home.

Kitsap Home Care Services

Kitsap Home Care Services is a division of Kitsap Tenant Support Services specializing in private, affordable in-home care services. Under its parent company, Kitsap Home Care Services has been locally owned and operated since 1995.

Our in-home care providers can assist clients with non-medical services related to personal hygiene, bathroom needs, dressing, transportation, mobility, light housekeeping, and meal preparation, among other services.

We work with the client and their family to come up with a customized service plan to best meet essential needs. Services are available to wide variety of clients, from those living alone who just need a little extra help to remain independent to clients in a nursing or assisted living community.

We ensure that every one of our caregivers become certified with their Home Care Aid certification and CPR/AED/First Aid. Caregivers also receive ongoing training so that they are well versed in the latest care techniques and technologies. Our team management team is here and ready to make sure that there is never any lapse in service, even when an assigned staff member is sick or otherwise unavailable for a shift. 24-hour-7-day service is available under certain circumstances.

Kitsap Home Care Services is fully licensed and recognized as a leading provider by the Washington State Department of Health. We carry full professional liability and worker’s compensation insurance for all our caregivers.

I have been with the company for 12+ years. A typical day involves making sure meals, meds, health, and safety are done. This can include assisting with appointments and community outings. One of my favorite memories with the company was attending the talent show or the annual Halloween party.

I have been with Kitsap Tenant Support Services for nearly 19 years now.
I really enjoy working for this company because of the opportunities it provides for the clients. There are many social and sports events that clients can attend with other KTSS clients. There are many Opportunities to make friends. I work nights so I mostly help clients with medications, cooking, household chores, playing games, and watching movies.
The most important part is having positive interactions with clients. I ask how their day was? What will they be doing tomorrow? Do they have something coming up that they are looking forward to? I really enjoy helping others and this is the best part of working here.
