Empowering Independence Since 1974

Kitsap Tenant Support Services, Inc. (KTSS) has been providing high-quality supported living, habilitative services, caregiving, training, supervision, and individualized support to people with developmental disabilities and special needs for over 50 years. As one of Washington State's founding supported living providers, we have proudly served individuals across Kitsap County since 1974.

Through our affiliated program, Olympic Peninsula Supported Living, we also provide 24-hour supported living services to individuals throughout Clallam County.

Our Mission

We are dedicated to creating safe, healthy, and stable environments that empower individuals to live with dignity, independence, and choice. With our person-centered approach we can help clients develop life skills, build meaningful relationships, increase self-confidence, and actively participate within the community.

Our Philosophy

All Persons with Developmental Disabilities should be provided every possible opportunity to live in a manner consistent with general citizenry. Kitsap Tenant Support Services, Inc. will promote the development and implantation of the new techniques and program approaches to ensure opportunities for positive change for personal growth and development towards maximum independence. All services to developmental disable people should be based on individual need to preserve human dignity, protect individual civil and human rights, and encouraging the involvement and responsibility of the individual’s family and community.

Stories from Those We Serve

As a caregiver with KTSS for nearly 5 years, I can honestly say some of my most satisfying days have come from this job. Whether cleaning, taking them to appointments or just out for fun, and even helping with personal care, the smiles on the client's faces when things go well never fails to make you feel good. We had a client that unfortunately passed away recently, and management was so kind in the way they checked in on us and let those who were working at the time have some time to recover.

I have been with the company for 18 years. One of my favorite memories was being in the talent show and I was in the newspaper. My staff helps me with going to the dance and assisting me with my family vacation.

I have been in the program since 1993. I like to go shopping with my staff or go on vacation. My favorite memory is going on trips when we were able to. My staff helps me with my food shopping and cleaning. I have an amazing support team that helps me when I need help. I enjoy my staff’s company when they see me.

I have been in the program since 1998. I like to do my crafts with my staff and walk outside with them. My favorite memories are watching movies, going to the picnic and the Halloween parties. My staff takes me to work and helps me with my grocery shopping. I like to see my boyfriend on Friday nights at the ARC dance and playing bocce ball.

I have been in the program for 26 years. My favorite things to do with staff are play card games and walk outside. My favorites memories are traveling to Florida, Leavenworth, Long Beach and Ocean Shores. My staff helps prepare and cook my dinner meals and they take me to work. I love the Olympic Game Farm, being involved in Sports and going to the casino.

I moved into the program 25 Years ago. I like to go shopping with my staff. One of my favorite memories with the company are being friends with the office, being with my roommate, the talent show, and cruises. My staff help to keep an eye on me, making sure I am safe and healthy, and help with cooking and driving.

I have been with the company for 24 years. One of my favorite moments was going to a sounders soccer game or going to the beach to make kites. My staff helps me with my appointments, medication, and communicating with friends.

I joined the program in 2008. Some of my favorite things to do with staff are going fishing, playing video games, going bowling or to the museum, planting flowers, sharing jokes and van rides. Some of my favorite memories are going to company picnic’s, Halloween parties and Christmas parties, the company takes care of me.
